Major contract for energy service professionals in Spreitenbach
Shoppi Tivoli has a brand-new look. Once the largest shopping centre in Switzerland, the shopping centre has now regained this title after re-opening on 29 October 2010. The new shopping Mecca on the A1 motorway is almost unrecognisable after almost ten years of planning and renovations. Working in collaboration with the Burkhalter Group, Alpiq InTec Ost AG was responsible for ensuring that Shoppi's power supplies function without a hitch.
465 619,80 metres of cable laid Alpiq was awarded the contract at the end of 2008, and in early 2009 work was started on laying new cables for Shoppi's infrastructure installations: automation of heating and ventilation systems, lighting systems, door management and the building controls system. In all, 465 619,80 meters of cable were laid. During the final and busiest phase in December 2010, some 80 employees were hard at work. "It was certainly a major challenge carrying out the work during the shopping centre's normal opening hours," recalls Alpiq project manager Antonio Fescina. "But we managed splendidly".
