Arbitration proceedings settled

Lausanne – With a settlement, Alpiq and Bouygues Construction have drawn a line under the dispute arising from the sale of the Engineering Services business, which has been ongoing since 2018. Alpiq will refund CHF 54.5 million to Bouygues Construction. This ends the arbitration proceedings initiated by both parties simultaneously in February 2019.

Alpiq concluded the sale of its Engineering Services business to Bouygues Construction in 2018. After closing the transaction, the seller Alpiq and the purchaser Bouygues Construction disagreed on the final adjustment amount to the purchase price, and Bouygues Construction also alleged a breach of guarantee claims under the sales contract.

With the out-of-court settlement that has now been reached, Alpiq and Bouygues Construction have drawn a line under the dispute.
